Teaching Stories

Most of my stories these days consist of my teaching experiences. Partly because the only other person I hang out with is my grandpa and the only other person I talk to is my boyfriend, but I'm ok with this!

Every morning I typically greet the same kids as they are coming off the school bus. This morning I was running later than usual and arrived to find a kindergartner peaking through my door window. As I got closer, he exclaimed, "there you are! I thought you were hiding from me!". He then proceeded to tell me how he finally remembers my name and all the cool stuff he has planned for this weekend. Once he left, I had a student stop by asking if I could help her learn a song on piano. She was so excited with her accomplishments that she asked if she could play the song for her class next week in music. :)

This week has been one crazy week with the kids (full moon, kid vomiting in class, spilling my coffee, etc.) and come this morning I was running on very low energy. Needless to say, this surely helped me get through today and reminded me why I love teaching. :)

Here is to a long, work filled weekend! At least the weather is suppose to be sunny and in the upper 80s! I love Florida!
