Happy Holidays!

This year I spent xmas with Duston's family, my family, and my best friend. Needless to say it was one of the best I've ever had.

A Holiday Tradition

I love ballet. So when I was asked to play in the orchestra for The Nutcracker at Radford this year I didn't even hesitate in saying yes. I know it's kinda silly, but performing in The Nutcracker has always been a dream of mine. And with the conclusion of this weekend I can officially say that I have lived that dream.

I will never experience that ballet the same way ever again. <3

It's The Little Things That Make The Difference

Today I had a really long, stressful day. (The kind of day where all you want to do is kick off your shoes, crawl in bed, and pass out when you get home.) But all of that was suddenly forgotten when I opened my computer to turn on some music and my facebook told me I had a new message.

It was a message from my little brother that said "good night loser".

It may not seem very nice to you, but to those of us who know him, it's a nice gesture. And just like that I realized that my day wasn't so bad.

I love my family.

Almost A Teacher

Today I passed all of my teacher tests!

I can't believe it's finally happening. I'm going to be a teacher!


I never thought this would happen so fast.

Hope

Sometimes you just have to be strong. You always have to be strong.

If you stay strong and be yourself you can make it through anything.


Even when things start to take a turn for the worse.

Salem Fair

Yesterday I went to the fair with some pretty awesome people.

I also realized that my life right now is pretty good. I have an awesome family, the best friends in the world, and a wonderful boyfriend. I passed PRAXIS 2 and I'm on track for student teaching in the Spring.

I also have a rough draft plan for what I tend on doing as soon as I graduate... but I'm trying to live more in the now and worry less about the future.

This is a perfect beginning.

Myrtle Beach

As much as I am enjoying the beach, I am really missing my boyfriend back in Radford. Making the most of it! 2 more days of enjoying the ocean and sunshine.

I Love Teaching!

Today I gave my first violin lesson.

I always thought I would start off giving flute lessons, but apparently I was wrong.

And the good thing is... I'm a pretty good violin teacher. =]

Now to get through this last week of exams! Bring it on!

Happiness is...

Happiness is swinging in the park on a beautiful day with one of your best friends...

It's being with the ones you love.
It's playing a pretty tune.
It's knowing that at the end of the day you will be doing nothing but relaxing and watching That 70's Show with your boyfriend.
It's singing and dancing outside in choir class.
It's not worrying about the little things in life... or at least trying not to.


Happiness is sprinting to the car when it randomly decides to rain...

Life is good. :)

Tap Dancing!

Cynthia informed me that they are offering a tap class in the Fall. Auditions are Wednesday. I guess I know what I'll be doing these next few days! =]

The Passing of a Good Friend

A good friend of mine passed away today.

... I still don't want to believe it happened, but it did. =/


I will never forget how inseparable we were our freshman year of college. Everything from the late night walmart runs to the numerous movies we watched together at the Radford theater (because you loved the place). I will also remember you every time I say "sad panda", since we used to tell each other not to be such a sad panda whenever the other person was upset.



You will forever be missed, Jonny. <3

It's a small list, but it's a start.
